Heritage Days

A celebration of the history of Middleville
August 18-20, 2022
Heritage Days is a celebration of the history of Middleville. Founded in 1834, residents of Middleville celebrate treasured memories from the past, the wonderful community we enjoy today, and the bright promise of the future!

New: Thursday
Thursday, August 18, from 6-9 pm, the Middleville Lions Club is sponsoring a Community Night Out where large vehicles like tow trucks, street sweepers, and dump trucks will be joined by tractors, first responders, and all manner of other unique vehicles for children to learn about and see up close! There will be free refreshments, family activities, and vision screenings at the Lions Sight-Mobile.
Friday
Friday, August 19, from 3-7pm, visit the Middleville Market and check out the great produce and artisan goods from our local vendors. Then, from 6:30-8:30pm, join us at the DDA Amphitheater for Riverbank, featuring the Out of Favor Boys! Special thanks to the Mix Coworking for sponsoring this free outdoor concert! The Middleville Rotary Club will be cooking out and providing fresh-grilled concession and root beer floats for a modest price.

Saturday
Saturday, August 20, from 10 am-6pm, join us for a fun-filled day of activities for the whole family! The Main Street Parade (organized by the Rotary) will step off at 10am, and once the parade is over, free kids games and activities (sponsored by local churches and Blue Zones), the TK Alumni Historical Exhibit, Heritage Days Makers Market, Food Trucks, and Charlie Pullen Memorial Auto Show will kick off! Thornapple Valley Church will host their traditional Volleyball Tournament and TK Athletics will host a 3-3 Student Basketball Tournament. Enter the inaugural TAPRC Canoe Race down the Thornapple River (must pre-register). At Noon, join us under the pavilion where a Cornhole Tournament to benefit TK Highschool Football will take place in conjunction with a beverage garden, where all proceeds from ice-cold drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will benefit the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation and Thornapple Arts Council. Enjoy your drink, cool down, and relax at the shaded Parklet Exhibit sponsored by Barry County Blue Zones Activate! Last, but not least, don’t miss the traditional Rotary Duck Race where you can win cash prizes and support local charities at 3:00pm.
We can’t wait for Heritage Days 2022 in Downtown Middleville, where memories are made!
